Just like our coffee, each menu item is hand-crafted to your order with fresh local ingredients. Our pastry case is full of delicious treats, including our neighborhood favorite scones, that are baked fresh each morning. We have a wide selection of bagged coffee fresh-roasted daily with the same care as our delicious food. About The Founder
My name is Michael Baccellieri, and I am the owner of Longbottom Coffee and Tea.
I am the proud son of Italian immigrants who instilled in me the values of hard work, customer service, craftsmanship, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys that life has to offer. Growing up and working with my father in the produce business, I learned the importance of freshness and quality but also premium customer service along with long hours as the foundation to success.
I am committed to sourcing the finest beans from around the world. We have always used the hot-air roasting process, working by hand to create coffees that are evenly roasted and faithfully reveal the best from each bean.
Beyond the realm of coffee, I find fulfillment in crafting not only delicious brews but other more tangible things that echo the warmth and comfort I seek to share with others. Whether it’s building homes, crafting wooden boats at my Welcome Slough Boatworks, or offering a unique retreat at my marina and lodge on Puget Island, each business seeks to provide a place where people can connect, unwind, and make lasting memories that nurture and inspire. I love people, and through my coffeehouse, I am honored to meet and share stories with people from all walks of life. That is a rare commodity these days but one I cherish.
I also love to keep bees, which play a vital role in sustaining our ecosystem. Through this endeavor, we not only help the environment but also enjoy a bounty of sweet honey which I can share with you through the coffeehouse.
My dedication to our community extends beyond just my business. Through this company, I have supported many local charities and non-profits for over 40 years. I understand the importance of giving back to the community that sustains us. It is my belief that a thriving local community is the bedrock of a successful business. Central to that idea is my unwavering commitment to my team here.
